  • On first login from off-campus, you will be prompted to link or create a JSTOR personal account. 

 

Who can use JSTOR?

JSTOR registration

  • Access to JSTOR is restricted to users at a participating institution. The National College of Art and Design provides access to it's faculty staff and students. 
  • JSTOR offers two levels of access:
  1. General (unregistered users)
  2. Registered Users

1) Unregistered Users can search for and view materials in public shared folders 

2) Registered users enjoy these benefits:

  • Access JSTOR remotely for 120 days
  • Save, organise and share materials
  • Download individual images or export entire image groups through the download to zip file 
  • Add their own images to a Personal Workspace

How to access JSTOR?

  • Sign in with your institution - National College of Art and Design 
  • Connect to JSTOR via OpenAthens off-campus
  • The first time you connect to JSTOR through OpenAthens, you will see a request to Link your Existing account or Create a new JSTOR account.
  • This is an JSTOR policy for off-campus authentication. JSTOR links your unique OpenAthens numeric identifier with your personal account and saves you from having to login a second time.
  • On subsequent visits to JSTOR through OpenAthens, you will be automatically logged into your personal account.
  • Creating a personal account on JSTOR allows you to save articles and images to folders on your workspace, to share folders with other JSTOR users and to download images.
