The Luncheonette at NCAD (2013-2021)

From 2013 - 2021 the college canteen was home to the Luncheonette. An extraodinary art project by the artist Jennie Moran, the Luncheonette had a profound effect on the college and all the visitors, staff and students that spent time there during the 8 years it was open. The Luncheonette is described as follows on their website:

"It is a prolonged exploration into the complex alchemy of placemaking, centred around the provision of shared experiences using nourishment, shelter, comfort, warmth, light, and tone to treat places so that they feel easier for people to be in and more poetic."

You can find out more about the Luncheonette at NCAD (and discover the recipes to its wonderful menu) in How to Soften Corners by Jennie Moran.
