In 1952 the American photographer George Pickow accompanied his wife, the reknowned folk singer Jean Ritchie to Ireland to document her ethnomusicological pursuits in the country. The University of Galway house these photographs now and they are available to view on their digital catalogue. High resolution downlaods and citations are available from their website.
